In Hand is a photography and film studio in Wellington, Florida, built around ongoing partnerships with barns, trainers, and equestrian businesses. We learn your program, your people, and the way you talk about your horses — then we tell that story in your voice, on film and in photographs, week after week.
Riders and families who want a single session are just as welcome. Some pictures matter more than others, and the ones with your animals in them are usually it.

Most of our work is ongoing. A small roster of clients keeps us on retainer — we're at the barn enough to know how the program actually runs, and the work shows it. While you run the barn, the story keeps moving.

In Hand is run by Alistair, a photographer and filmmaker based in Wellington. The name comes from the show ring: a horse presented in hand, with nothing between the handler and the animal. The work follows the same idea — close, honest, unhurried.
Most days you will find her at a barn somewhere in equestrian country, waiting for the moment a horse relaxes and the real picture shows up.
